Our client are a Multi Disciplinary Consultancy who are expanding their Leeds office, due to the ongoing success of several prestigious projects. An opportunity for an experienced Principal / Associate Mechanical Engineer has arisen, to join the Leeds team and develop their career by leading a team of mechanical engineers and contributing to the delivery of quality to their clients.
The Building Services Engineering team enjoys successful relationships with clients in sectors including Commercial, HealthCare, Mixed Use, Higher Education and Sport and Leisure.
Following recent significant success in winning both national and regional frameworks, our client are keen to maximise these successes as part of an overall growth strategy. The successful candidate will build client relationships generating more work from these frameworks and will support the Technical Director in identifying and winning new opportunities.As a Principal / Associate Mechanical Building Services Engineer, you will be involved in a range of small to large projects within the Building Services team. The role will be challenging, demanding, varied and offer opportunities for skill set and career development. You will work autonomously within a team carrying out building services projects, where you will manage the projects and the work of others. |
| Responsibilities: |
Assisting the Technical Director in delivery of assigned project work and offer support to a growth strategy Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects. Management of internal and external stakeholders.
Carrying out design and calculation work using relevant industry software (i.e. IES,Revit Hevacomp). Developing, maintaining and monitoring programmes for scheduling and reporting on deliverables across specific projects. Maximising profitability of projects, monitoring against budget, reacting and anticipating potential problems and communicating in line with client expectations. Demonstrating technical expertise, providing in depth knowledge and leadership whilst proactively coaching and developing more junior team members Apply your business development knowledge to identify and win work to help grow the size and capability of the team. |
| Skills & Attributes |
Essential
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services related subject.
Chartered Engineer or working towards Membership of UK IMechE or CIBSE Ability to produce bespoke Building Services Designs to British Standards. Ability to lead and motivate a team Full UK driving license. Desirable Experience working on a variety of Building Services design projects including, commercial, mixed use, healthcare, higher education sector projects.
- Experience of working along side other engineering disciplines within a multi- disciplinary design consultancy. - Aptitude and desire for involvement in business development. - Experience of working on Building Services Engineering projects internationally. - Competent user of Hevacomp / TAS / IES calculation software. - Understanding of DREAM, BREEAM, Low carbon and Building Regulations. |
