Our client are an international consultancy with an excellent reputation within the Building Services industry for delivering robust and innovative solutions.

They are currently recruiting an Intermediate Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, to add value to their team. The role will involve supporting principal engineers and /or other line managers.

The successful candidate will be a professional, ambitious, competent and enthusiastic Building Services Design Engineer looking for a progressive role. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Building Services Design Engineer looking to move on to the next stage of their career and achieve chartered status as well as ongoing training and development.  

Prepare documentation (drawings, designs, specifications), tailored to required stage of project completion, covering all aspects of mechanical services.

• Carry out detailed surveys of mechanical services and equipment to establish the extent of the existing installation and gain enough information to complete design and to report findings to others as required

• Advise on all aspects of energy consumption and utilisation, identify on mitigation schemes and give recommendations to improve energy performance.

• Assist in the monitoring of the design and project management of commissions within agreed programmes

• Ensure compliance with building regulations for engineering aspects of delegated projects

 Knowledge of current building regulations and relevant legislation

• Experience of using Hevacomp and AutoCad, IES experience is beneficial however not essential

• Revit knowledge and experience will be beneficial

• Good verbal communication skills

• Mechanical Building Services Design experience gained ideally within a consultancy background
• Working towards chartered status
