Overview My client is a Registered Charity with an excellent reputation for providing the highest level of care to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to provide person centred care to adults in a residential home setting.
Responsibilities:  As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for supporting individuals to be  independent and will assist them with daily living tasks. This will include personal care, preparing meals, providing support when attending appointments. You will also encourage individuals to partake in social activities and pursue hobbies. This will include enjoying day trips to the coast, adventure holidays, meals at restaurants and pubs, social nights, sports, swimming, cinema, theatre, music etc. Also responsible for being an active and committed team player, meeting CQC standards and following, contributing to and updating individual care plans.
Skills & Attributes

Ideally NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care

Excellent communication skills - encouraging individuals to develop confidence, skills and independence

To be able to communciate with family members and other professionals and provide a holisitic approach to achieving the highest level of care.

Effective listening skills, caring, supportive, patient and ability to encourage and motivate individuals.

Desire to promote independence for individuals with learning and physical disabilities. 

Passionate and active team player to exceed CQC standards.
