My client are a registered charity, with an excellent reputation for providing  the highest level of care to adults with learning difficulties, physical difficulties and complex needs. 

An opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to work within CQC Registered services in West Yorkshire. 

This ia a fantastic opportunity to manage a small, friendly home with a pleasant environment. Responsibilities:

 To ensure residents receive support using person centred approaches and to understand and share in the values of the organisation. Be able to lead practice within staff teams and manage the resources of the service to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure the best outcomes for the people they support.

 Maintain admin and financial systems and processes and be compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

 

Skills & Attributes

 Ideally be NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care or working towards it.

Leadership : being personally accountable for the work and area of service, providing clear vision, strategies, direction and support to staff while working in a way which is central to the values and culture.

Team Management : Developing and managing a team of staff effectively using a range of HR skills and techniques.

Values and Equality :Valuing and providing diversity and equality, challenging unfair discrimination.

Communication : Getting the message across the best way so that it is clearly understood. Ensuring open and effective communication within the team.

Securing the agreement of others through persuasion and negotiation.

Developing and managing internal and eternal relationships.

Taking personal responsibility for ensuring decisions are made. Identifying problems, seeking to understand their underlying causes and acting quickly and decisively to resolve them.

Having sound levels of professional practice / knowledge / in all the care areas and viable areas to the post.

Promoting a vision of quality and continuous improvement.

Reviewing monitoring and evaluating quality.

Developing viable plans and organisng staffand other resources to deliver within timeframes.

Managng and controlling resources to meet demands and changing priorities, ensuring financial viability
